The Code is developed based on the Code of Conduct for Rating Agencies approved by the Technical Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) in strict compliance with the current Ukrainian regulatory framework for rating. The new edition of the NRA "Rurik" Code also takes into account the requirements of EU Regulation No. 1060/20 "Credit Rating Agencies" introduced at the end of 2009.
The Code defines the fundamental principles of business ethics of NRA "Rurik", which are implemented in all work processes and serve as the basis for internal control and regulation of the Agency's activities. The Code of Business Ethics is of a recommendatory nature and regulates the activities of Agency employees, who are obliged to adhere to the requirements defined in this Code. The Agency complies with the requirements of the Code regardless of the specifics of cooperation with a specific Client, adhering to uniform standards for all rating objects.
The Code combines principles related to three important components of the Agency's activities: the quality and integrity of the rating process, independence and prevention of conflicts of interest, and responsibility before issuers and investors.
